We met here for a work function and overall, I did enjoy myself and found this restaurant to be upscale casual with friendly staff, a very clean environment, fresh, tasty food and impressive bathrooms! My only two concerns were the lack of dedicated parking (on-street parking is tough in the evenings when everyone is home from work) and I found the menu to lack cohesiveness. Each dish we tried (we order nearly every appetizer and a variety of entrees) was delicious and we cleaned our plates, but other than being labeled 'Southern' or 'Cajun', they were very separate items and didn't flow in a complete menu concept. If someone asked me to meet here, I would not be disappointed, but I don't think I would make this my first choice when planning dinner out.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and boy they do not disappoint. I was on the hunt for New Orleans/Cajun Creole food and I drove nearly 2 hours to try their food. I had an amazing dining experience. I came in on a Monday night and this place was packed, which was a very good sign. I ate at their bar and was greeted by the bartender. He was clearly busy but was very attentive. I ordered 3 courses. The appetizer I ordered was their hot skillet pierogies. Omg, this dish was a great starter. So rich and decadent. You get 4 potato and cheese pierogies and topped with a generous amount of crabmeat , cream and a rich remoulade sauce. I ate the entire app. My entree was perfection. I ordered the Crispy Catfish served with rice and collard greens. The Catfish was fried to the perfect crisp and the Catfish was seasoned just right and was so tender and crispy at the same time. This was also also accompanied with a remoulade sauce that paired nicely with the fish. The sides were so good. They were out of their dirty rice but they substituted it with another side dish that was similar to a jambalaya. The collard greens was delicious as well. It was cooked perfectly. For my de

As a southerner I was hopeful seeing this restaurant in the area. I tried the catfish po’boy and the beignets today and was sadly disappointed by both. The catfish is not breaded in the traditional way. And the beignets were practically rolls with powder sugar. If you aren’t used to eating food from Louisiana you’ll probably love this place. But if you’re looking for catfish and beignets that you’ll get down south? Don’t get your hopes up. Servers were nice but wait time was also longer than advertised online for a pick up order. Fries are good though!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely phenomenal dining experience at The Bayou! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We started with the cornbread with honey butter β€” so flavorful. Then we had the cast-iron pierogies topped with lump crab and lobster in cognac butter. Hands down, the best pierogies I’ve ever had in my life! Between the three of us (my mom, my best friend, and me), we shared the Nashville hot chicken mac & cheese, the chicken and waffle sandwich, the sweet mash casserole, and the jalapeΓ±o grits. Every single dish was incredible. And to finish, the beignets were perfection. Truly 10/10. To make our experience even better, our waitress Ques, was phenomenal and a breath of fresh air. She was knowledgeable, personable, funny, and made us feel so welcome. She guided my mom around the spicier dishes and recommended her personal favorites, and every time she came to our table, we couldn’t help but smile. The food, the service, the atmosphere β€” everything about The Bayou was amazing. The music they played went with the vibe of the whole place. We’re traveling from Delaware and staying overnight to see a show close by, and the front desk recommended this rest
